This policy explains how the ScaleZen MIS mobile app, published by ScaleZen Technologies Pvt. Ltd., handles your information.
Who this app is for
ScaleZen MIS is the mobile app for schools and colleges that use the ScaleZen MIS management platform. Your institution creates your login. The app has no public sign-up.
Your institution decides what information it records about you and who can see it. It is the data controller. ScaleZen Technologies Pvt. Ltd. runs the platform for your institution and processes that information on its behalf. We are the data processor.
Information the app shows and handles
The app shows information your institution already keeps in ScaleZen MIS. What you see depends on your role and on what your institution has enabled.

What is stored on your phone
- Your sign-in tokens and basic account details (email, role, school). They are kept in your phone's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) so you stay signed in.
- This data is deleted from your phone when you sign out.
- The app does not store your password on the phone.
What the app does not do
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking tools.
- No access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.
- We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
How information is sent
The app talks only to your institution's ScaleZen MIS server, over encrypted HTTPS connections. If you open an eLibrary resource, the app opens that link in your browser or document viewer.
Who can see your information
- People at your institution whose role allows it, such as administrators and office staff.
- ScaleZen Technologies Pvt. Ltd. staff, only when they need to run, support or secure the platform.
- Hosting and email providers we use to run the platform, under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long information is kept
Your institution decides how long records are kept. Some records, such as fee receipts and academic records, may have to be kept for a period set by law or by education regulations. Deleted records are removed from our backups when those backups expire.
Your choices and rights
- Correct your details: ask your institution's office. Some changes go through an approval step.
- Change your password: in the app, under Account → Change password.
- Delete your account and data: see Delete your data.
- Questions or complaints: email info@scalezen.in.
Children
Students under 18 use the app with a login their institution creates, usually with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children outside that arrangement.
Security
We use encrypted connections, secure storage on the phone, role-based access and hashed passwords. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and sign out on shared phones.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
